What's On in 2018/19
Please note that the monthly illustrated talks take place in the MAIN HALL at THORNHILL SCHOOL. The venue is large and comfortable and there is ample parking there as well. The talks will continue to commence at 7.30pm and last for approx. one hour. Doors open at 7pm - all are welcome. The talks are £1 to members with a £2 cover charge for visitors.
The season will commence again in September with the talks as usual being held on the THIRD Tuesday of each month (see times above). The following are all illustrated talks commencing at 7.30pm and last approx one hour. Doors are open at 6.50pm

The society's archives at 6 DouroTerrace (just up frm the Civci Centre) are open to everyone to visit throughout the year EVERY WEDNESDAY and SATURDAY, 9.30am to 12.00 noon. Members and visitors are welcome to come and view the Society's vast collections of documents, maps and photographs.
The society's annual CHRISTMAS FAIR will be held 10am-1.30pm on Saturday 1st December at the Heritage Centre in Douro Terrace.
Local history books (including new, rare and out of print), DVDs, jewellery,Tombola and great ideas for Christmas presents. Do come along, support and enjoy coffee and mince pies.
